The optional compiler (c89) should work as long as you give it the `+Olibcalls -D_HPUX_SOURCE' (this has only been tested for HPUX 9.0). At this point, using GCC is probably your best bet. Please remove the paragraph above from the documentation, replacing it with the following: To invoke ANSI mode from the HP-UX ANSI C compiler, use the -Aa option.
