Did you check in the patch? I don't see a reference to it in the
ChangeLog file.

I don't recall receiving it.

Marc

So, it looks like the patch was lost. Does anyone remember exactly
which error string was duplicated? The PR does not mention it.

The string is "Cannot initialize GSS-API authentication, ", which can
happen if build_princ_name() fails, or if _svcauth_gssapi_set_names()
fails in ovsec_kadmd.c. There's actually two repeated errors, one for
syslog, the other for fprintf.

State-Changed-When: Wed Dec 4 15:30:02 1996
State-Changed-Why:

Fixed. Files:

kadmin/server/ChangeLog
kadmin/server/ovsec_kadm.c

The fact that most errors in this file are reported both via
krb5_klog_syslog and fprintf(stderr) is intentional. The idea is that
any error generated before kadmind backgrounds itself should be
displayed on stderr where the administrator is likely to see it
(assuming it is being run by hand), in addition to being logged.
Notice that fprintf is not called after daemon().
