Subject: multiple users on XP
Hello-

I'm not sure if this is the best address to send a problem request, but
hopefully the 'bug-watchers' have seen this problem before...

I've installed two versions of MIT's KFW (2.5 and 2.6.3) to verify the problem
and they both install fine and launch without a problem for the local
Administrator account. However, when a new user/non-admin user logs on, the
application, via Windows Installer, looks for the source media to 'complete the
install' and fails if the user account can't access the source location (which
isn't always possible here) Error 1706 in the Event Log. Any advice would be
appreciated...

TIA,
Brian Maher

Whose installers are you using?

The NSIS based MIT Kerberos installers do not suffer from this problem.

Jeff-

I'm using the versions from the MIT site
(http://web.mit.edu/software/win.html)... I'm assuming we're talking
about the same thing, right?

Thanks & let me know if you need any more information,
Brian

Unfortunately, I am not talking about the same thing.
Those installers are not produced by the MIT Kerberos Team. Please
contact the MIT Helpdesk for support.

Thanks.
