I had a problem with the version of kerberos that came with
NetIDManager. It would not work with FileZilla (which uses parts of
PuTTY for SFTP connections). I am currently using Filezilla 2.2.11. I
tried a few options last September (after I attended some computing
sessions on Sept 11, including one on NetIDManager which looked
promising), but in the end I had to give up and revert back to my
current configuration.

I am having the same problem as May. The last time I tried to use
NetIDManager, last summer, there was a known kerberos conflict with
running FileZilla, which for me is a critical application. I transfer
files daily between my Windows laptop and a linux desktop, so I am using
Kerberos V5 for Windows 32-bit (v2.6.5).

Do you know if this conflict is still there?

I have a feeling the problem is that the Putty SFTP is linked to
the gssapi32.dll in such a way that it is dependent upon function
entry points that were removed between 2.6.5 and 3.2.x. A putty
update might solve the problem.
