I downloaded and installed the binaries for HPUX under /usr/local/bin. I then
used /usr/local/sbin/ktutil to convert the Kerberos v4 srvtab to a Kerberos v5
keytab. Next, I moved to /usr/local/bin and executed the following commands:

julia 98: ./ftp anita
Connected to
220 FTP server (Version 5.60) ready.
334 Using authentication type GSSAPI; ADAT must follow
GSSAPI accepted as authentication type
GSSAPI error major: Miscellaneous failure
GSSAPI error minor: Server not found in Kerberos database
GSSAPI error: initializing context
GSSAPI authentication succeeded
Name (anita:gsin):
331 Password required for gsin.

What do the errors mean?

This is against a very old version of Kerberos. We belive that ftp probably
works against current versions of hpux.
